What these terms cover.

These are the terms and conditions on which we supply goods to you through our website and by direct phone orders. You should print a copy of these Terms for your future reference. Please note that our Website Terms of Use and Cookies Policy also apply to your general access and use of our website, and our Privacy Policy applies to our use of your personal information.
Please read these terms carefully before you submit your order to us.

How we will accept your order.

Your order will be taken by phone which will be recorded to allow orders to be checked t a later date. Your order will be automatically accepted when we dispatch your Goods and provided that we’ve received payment in full for the Goods and any related delivery charges or an account has been created. The contract between us is formed at the time we dispatch your Goods
During the order process you will select the day when we will provide the Goods to you. We will use our best commercial endeavours to deliver the Goods to you on that day you select.
We are not responsible for delays outside our control. If our supply of the Goods is delayed by an event outside our control then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this we will not be liable for delays caused by the event

Goods will be your responsibility from the time we deliver the Goods to the address you gave us.

You own the goods once we have received payment in full and the Goods have been delivered to the address you gave us.

We may need certain information from you so that we can supply the Goods to you, for example, your address and any specific instructions for accessing the delivery address. If you do not give us this information within a reasonable time of us asking for it, or if you give us incomplete or incorrect information, we may make an additional charge of a reasonable sum to compensate us for any extra work that is required as a result. We will not be responsible for supplying the Goods late if this is caused by you not giving us the information, we need within a reasonable time of us asking for it.

We may also suspend supply of the Goods if you do not pay. If you do not pay us for the Goods when you are supposed to and you still do not make payment within 7 days of us reminding you that payment is due, we may suspend supply of the Goods until you have paid us the outstanding amounts. We will contact you to tell you we are suspending supply of the Goods.

We accept payment with Visa and Mastercard credit cards, and Maestro, Delta and Visa Electron debit cards. We’ll take payment for your order, including delivery charges, from your debit or credit card at the time you place your order unless a prior account facility has been arranged

When we are liable for damage to your property.
Once we leave the public highway we do so at your request and we are not responsible for any damage that may occur to yours/third parties’ property.
If an order is cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery date there may be a cancellation charge

Quay Concrete Ltd.’s liability will be limited in the event of any defects in their concrete products including failure to comply with specification, removal and replacement. Such liability can only be accepted where you can establish:

That no additional water has been added after our technician has declared the mix as ready to use. All sampling and testing have been carried out by an approved tester

Reference to compression strength in the specification shall, unless otherwise agreed, refer to compression strengths in concrete cubes made, cured and tested in accordance with BS1881 and BS5328 by an UKAS approved test house

It is not recommended to lay concrete when the temperature is or is likely to drop below 5 degrees Celsius, or before the temperature is a minimum of 3 degrees Celsius following a cold spell.

Extra water alters the strength of the mix and any additional water will be marked on the delivery note. Water will only be added at the customer’s own risk.

Waiting times may be charged for extended periods spent on site at the transport office’s discretion
All data stored is subject to the general data protection act and we do not distribute any information without the customer’s consent.

A customer’s or customers representative’s signature shall be deemed as acknowledgment, agreement and acceptance of these conditions of sale and delivery
